Pages of history of AK BARS AERO airline

  • July 10, 1953 – date of the company establishment (it was called as Bugulminskoe Aviapredpriyatie at that time). That year postal air communication between Bugulma and Kazan has started.
  • 1955-2005 – regular flights Bugulma-Kazan, Bugulma-Moscow and Bugulma-Kuibyshev (Samara) were started. The entire complex of airport buildings, passenger hall, hotel, maintenance hangar and aircraft maintenance depot were built. Airport began to work day and night.
  • 2005-2009 – Bugulminskoe Aviapredpriyatie became a part of Ak Bars Holding Company OJSC, which served as a new impact for development of the airline development. Bugulminskoe Aviapredpriyatie became a regional company of a federal level. Business transportation trend began to develop. New types of aircraft meeting up-to-date safety and comfort requirements are mastered. Geography of flights to cities of Russia and abroad is expanded.

Currently:

  • The enterprise rebranding has been carried out, the airline got a new name – AK BARS AERO
  • Superior Canadian airplanes CRJ-200LR for performance of regional flights have been bought
  • New terminal building in Bugulma with comfortable  lounge for 50 people has been opened
  • A new web site www.akbarsaero.ru making it possible to reserve tickets on-line has been developed.
  • It has own aircraft fleet: Yak-40 and CRJ-200LR
  • It has own helicopter fleet: «Robinson» (R44), Bell 407 and Mi-8 МТВ
  • There is a Certified Centre of Aircraft Engineering Maintenance on the base of airline.
  • Aircraft personnel consists of class 1 commercial pilots, who took training in Training Centre in Montreal (Canada)
  • Flight route network includes big cities of Russia: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Chelyabinsk, Penza, Sochi, Novosibirsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Surgut, Bugulma, etc.

The following work is being performed:

  • Route network expansion, arrangement of regular flights to CIS and Europe countries: Warsaw, Prague, Kiev, Minsk, Odessa, etc.
  • Establishment of flying school branch on the base of AK BARS AERO for commercial pilots training
  • Creation of production and technical base for aircraft overhaul of any complexity
  • Cooperation with the biggest air entities and corporations of international and Russian importance
  • Popularization and development of air transport trend (together with regulatory agencies in the field of civil aviation).
